Amara was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Tampa, FL. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2014 with a BS in Health Sciences with concentrations in Biological Health, and Mental and Behavioral health. Amara graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2018, cum laude, with a concentration in Advocacy. At Stetson, she was on the Executive Board of the Student Bar Association from 2016-2017 and is a two-time champion of the #1 Trial Team in the nation. She interned in Washington, DC the summer of 2017, during which time she was able to meet Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and watch him give his first opinion from the bench. Amara currently lives in Tampa, FL with her husband and dog (a German Shepard and Labrador mix). Their first home is a fixer upper purchase, so she spends her free time working on house projects, visiting with friends to recruit them for house projects, and volunteering at her church.
