Gerald C. Biondi “Jerry” joined Baumann, Gant & Keeley in July 2017. He is a Partner in the firms Tampa office where his practice focuses on civil litigation with a concentration on construction defects litigation. Since joining the firm, Mr. Biondi has worked extensively in all facets of construction law including representation of developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, material suppliers, manufacturers, and others in both state and federal court. His practice also includes litigation work in areas including personal injury, general liability, insurance defense, premises liability, products liability, liquor liability, wrongful death, and professional liability defense. He has extensive experience in large loss personal injury claims as well as 1st party home owner claims.

Mr. Biondi received his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2006. In 2002 he received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Gannon University in legal studies and criminal justice, with a minor in philosophy. Prior to joining the Baumann, Gant & Keeley, Mr. Biondi spent the prior 10 years working for a well-known insurance defense firm in their Tampa and Fort Lauderdale offices.

Born in Erie, PA, Mr. Biondi’s background includes extensive experience in the hospitality, construction, and entertainment fields. Mr. Biondi gained practical experience in the construction industry working for several contractors in Pennsylvania. While attending Stetson, he was an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America competing in trial and negotiation competitions. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and was admitted to practice law before the Middle District of Florida in 2007 and the Southern District in 2014. He is a current member of the Broward County Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Biondi was elected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars in consecutive years from 2016 - 2021, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of lawyers in the country.
