Kathleen Valente is an Associate at the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office. She is originally from Davie, FL.
Mrs. Valente received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a concentration in Public Advocacy and a minor in Criminology, from the University of South Florida located in Tampa, FL. Mrs. Valente earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and in the top 10% of her class. While a law student, Mrs. Valente served as a Junior and then Senior Associate on the Nova Law Review and was a member of the Nova Trial Association. She was the recipient of a merit based scholarship, as well as several Kaplan and Red Pen awards through Nova Law Review.
Prior to joining Baumann, Gant & Keeley, Mrs. Valente was a Judicial Intern for Magistrate Barry S. Seltzer of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and a Legal Intern at the Office of the State Attorney in Broward County, FL. She is a member of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Broward County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
