Xavier T. Saunders is an associate attorney at Baumann, Gant, Keeley & Biondi, P.A. Xavier’s primary areas of practice include wrongful death, transportation and trucking liability, premises liability, and construction defect litigation. Prior to joining Baumann, Gant, Keeley & Biondi, P.A., Xavier practiced at a Jacksonville-based law firm which represented clients in defense of insurance bodily injury, bailor-bailee, and homeowners insurance claims. Xavier also provided representation for carriers as insurance coverage counsel.

In 2007, Xavier began his legal career as an insurance defense attorney at a boutique defense firm that provided commercial fleet litigation defense to members of the Trucking Insurance Defense Association (TIDA). Afterward, Xavier went on to practice at a local personal injury law firm which represented plaintiffs. Xavier owned and operated a law firm in Jacksonville from 2009 to 2019, where he provided clients with legal services as a general counsel representing businesses in various transactional matters including business formations, business closings, and the drafting of various contracts and franchise agreements. He successfully represented his clients, both businesses and individuals, in mediations and bench trials for breach of contract matters, debt collections, declaratory actions, shareholder derivative claims, commercial and residential landlord-tenant suits, and consumer law matters.

Xavier is a sixth-generation Floridian, and a fifth-generation resident of Jacksonville, where his family has lived since 1850 and 1885, respectively. Xavier volunteers at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and various local homeless food charities, and serves on the board of trustees for Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
